CFI Ranks #1 in the Small Company Group - Orlando Sentinel's Top Work Place List
Altamonte Springs, Fla. (September 27, 2021) – Christensen Financial, Inc. (CFI) has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2021 honor by The Orlando Sentinel. The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage, LLC. The anonymous survey uniquely measures 15 culture drivers that are critical to the success of any organization: including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few.
In the category for small-sized businesses, CFI ranked number one out of 46 nominated companies! This will be their 5th year in a row ranking on the Orlando Sentinel’s Top workplaces list. This year, they’ve also received a “New Ideas” Specialty Award for their dedication to implementing innovation based on employee input.
Their story begins in 2001 when David, Carol, Clint, and Sara Christensen took their combined years of mortgage industry experience to build CFI. Today, CFI is licensed in 20 states and the District of Colombia, and claims over 20 branches. CFI’s Headquarters in the Orlando area is home to their in-house processing, underwriting, quality control, compliance, closing, and post-closing departments. That has helped Christensen Financial become a trusted name in the mortgage industry with a national presence and a local touch.
As a family-owned company, the Christensens not only run the business but are deeply involved in the lives of their employees. Their commitment starts with their employees. They strive to provide the support their employees need to enjoy their job and feel motivated to serve customers well.
CFI is also an active community advocate for various causes. Its philanthropy includes company-wide food drives that benefit food banks and organizations. As well as holiday toy drives to brighten the lives of children in the community. Throughout the year, you can find CFI employees volunteering at Ronald McDonald House or participating in 5Ks to raise money for causes nearest to the employee’s hearts such as breast cancer or type 1 diabetes.
“Being named a Top Workplace is a big deal — only 85 companies made this year’s list. We’re honored, especially because the judges were our employees! More than 85% of our regional employees participated and I want to thank them for their input that propelled us to the top spot this year”, stated CFI’s CFO, Kevin Adams.
